Operational Research Society of Nepal (ORSN) is delighted to announces the 11^th Triennial Conference of Association of Asia Pacific Operational Research Societies (APORS) in Kathmandu in 2018 August 6-9. ORSN and the organizing team is proudly looking forward to welcome all the delegates from all APORS member countries and other OR Societies from IFORS and other OR scientific communities in the conference.  The conference aims to bring OR academicians, professionals and practitioners throughout the world together to discuss theoretical development and practical applications of OR tools and techniques in real world. The conference also provides a platform for learning, sharing and networking among delegates from around the world.

The THEME of the conference is “Operations Research and Development”. The research papers related to applications of operations research tools and techniques for development in many sectors but not limited to, such as, education, health, financial institutions, governance, energy, environment, water, agriculture and many more will be the highlights of the event. OR experts from around the world representing IFORS and other organizations will grace the event and the four-day meet will be memorable to everyone.

The APORS 2018 conference is going to be held in Kathmandu Nepal. Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal, is situated in a valley which is an open air museum of famous sites, ancient temples and shrines, golden pagodas, and inspiring deities. It is a city of inexhaustible historic artistic and cultural interest. Several beautiful and interesting villages and towns surrounding the valley offer ideal destinations for mini treks. The dazzling Himalayan peaks are visible from several points on the mountains around the valley.
